Colour inspiration: grey and mustard

I am just a little bit obsessed with interiors that combine grey and yellow. I love the cool minimalism of grey but sometimes it works best with a bright pop of colour to bring it to life. Our living room is decorated in grey and yellow and for a while now it's been niggling me that something about just isn't quite right. I think I finally figured it out. The yellow I've used is a little on the acidic side. What's needed instead is mustard, the addition of which seems to bring a warmth and softness to cool industrial spaces and make classic interiors look contemporary. Take a look at these images and see if you agree.

Makes me think of Farrow & Ball Charleston grey, and of course, Persephone Books. Thanks for yet another gorgeous post and heaps of inspiration!
Beautiful inspirations! And I agree, the mustard fits the grey perfectly.
The mustard compliments the grey very well. I agree it adds a bit of much needed warmth to a cool grey.
