London Design Festival - Studio Ilse
If you follow this blog regularly you'll already know how much I love the honesty, meticulous detailing and emotional appeal of Ilse Crawford's designs. Her 'Seating for Eating' range is described as 'furniture that brings people together'. The 'Together' table (above) in solid chestnut with copper feet is extendable, 'so there's always a place for unexpected guests'.
Made of sustainable wood, the range is based on the philosophy that materials have hidden messages that create a link to our emotional psyches and shape our connection to daily life.
The images above are taken from the Studio Ilse website, but here are a few iphone snaps that Graham, my other half, took at Tramshed at The London Design Festival last week. The bed is heading straight for my 'really adore but almost certainly can't afford list'.
