Interiors UK 2012: The Design Village

It was great to get out of the office last week and meet so many fantastic people at Interiors UK. I came away at the end of the show feeling really inspired and bursting with ideas.

Our Obsessionistas exhibition was based in the Design Vilage curated by Designers Block, so today's post is a round up of a few of my favourite objects from of some of the people I enjoyed meeting there.

Above is Donna Walker's skeleton chandelier. During the show Donna successfully pitched her lighting range to the Mary Portas team and her products will soon be appearing in the Mary at House of Fraser concessions.

Suzi McLaughlin creates beautiful origami sculptures and laser cut flowers. She has previously created large scale installation projects and even a paper show garden for the RHS. Check out the amazing images on her blog. She also makes paper wedding bouquets.

Textile innovation from POSTextiles, a collective of designers from the MA Textile Futures course at Central Saint Martins.

Brogues by Peter Bullock who I really enjoyed chatting to. His beautifully crafted handmade shoes are made from the softest leather you can imagine.

Tools by Brighton based maker and illustrator Camilla Barnard...

... and here's Camilla loving her new Peter Bullock brogues.

New lighting launched at the show by Manchester based designers Lazerian and flock covered lamps and one of the many Windsor style chairs in The Local.

Plates by The New English...

... and the collections that Graham and I curated for Obsessionistas interpreting WGSN-Homebuildlife's three key interior trends Spring Summer 2013.

A huge thank you to Rory, Piers and all the other guys at Designers Block for hosting us - we had a great week.
