Paper decorations

Is it to early to start talking about Christmas? I know some people put their decorations up every year right at the beginning of December but in our house we usually prefer to wait until just a week or two before. This year though we are having a Christmas party in early December so I have already started thinking about how I'm going to decorate. I always make a spruce wreath for the front door, and like to use lots of lovely eucalyptus so that visitors are greeted by it's scent as they arrive. If I have time maybe I'll make a garland or two as well.

I don't go in for glitter and sparkle in a huge way (although I love to have lots of twinkling fairy lights and candles), but I do like paper decorations and so I'm thinking of picking up some of these Honeycomb pendants from The White Company. Wouldn't they look lovely hung in a hallway or maybe clustered together over the dining table?

Cox and Cox also have some pretty ideas including this fluted paper garland with LED lights. If you are looking for alternative tree ideas (or don't have room for a larger one), they also have this paper tree with wire branches that can be bent to any shape you like - a blank canvas for endless decorating possibilities.

Do you have any Christmas decorating traditions in your family?
