Blue D1653 from Royal Delft

Blue D1653 is a range of new contemporary designs from traditional Dutch porcelain company Royal Delft.

Taking its inspiration from patterns created by the Royal Delft Master painters the range combines modern design with nostalgia for this long established ceramic tradition.

The collection takes its name from the year in which the Royal Delft company was founded. Since 1653 Royal Delft has been the largest and most important producer of Delft Blue and today it is the only remaining producer of Delftware from the 17th century.

This interaction between historic traditions and contemporary design gives Blue D1653 a unique character and makes it soulful as well as beautiful, bringing traditional delftware to a new contemporary audience through a unique collection of decorative objects and products for food, mood and lifestyle.
