Visit: High Cross House

Earlier this month it was announced that one of the UK's most important modernist homes, High Cross House in Devon, is to reopen to the public in March 2012 under a new partnership between the National Trust and the Dartington Hall Trust. I will definitely be putting this on my list of places to visit this year as there are so few properties of this type in the UK.

The images above are from an exhibition that ceramicist (and author of The Hare With Amber Eyes) Edmund de Waal held at the property in 1999. You can read more about it here.

Here is a round up of a few other links I enjoyed this week:

The Craft Council and the UK Hand Knitting Association are launching a number of free cinema knit along events.

Cards for romantic occasions from Barbara Chandler.

1950s canine catwalk looks.

Old fashioned radiators painted in vibrant colours.

A jam shop where jars of jam are displayed like precious antiques.

Thanks for reading this week. Have a great weekend.
