Out and About

It's been a busy and exciting week here at Design Hunter HQ so I thought I'd share some images of my week. Last Friday Graham and I attended the Birmingham Made Me fashion show and awards ceremony where we picked up a surprise award for 'Best Overall Exhibit' for our Obsessionistas Design Archives display.

On Sunday, The Sunday Times ran a feature on interiors bloggers and I was delighted to be included and mentioned as one of the 10 best interiors blogs.

Yesterday we were in London for the Royal College of Art degree shows. We also managed to fit in a quick tour of some of the AW2012 press shows in the Brompton Design District and a visit to The Serpentine Gallery to see the Yoko Ono show and Herzog & de Meuron and Ai Wei Wei's pavilion - I highly recommend both.

Next week I'll be featuring a round up of work from the RCA shows and spotlighting some of the pieces that really stood out for me. Meanwhile, here are a few links I loved this week:

- Ever fancied having your own tail? (A festival must have)

- Breathtakingly beautiful flower images by Dietlind Wolf for Bloom

- The trials & tribulations of being an independent fashion brand in Britain today

- 5 ideas for an instant headboard

- Liberty print oven glove sewing project

- The Royal way to tie a scarf

- A designer teams up with poor Mumbai residents to turn traditional water vessels into luxury vases

- Donna Wilson's exercise books

Have a great weekend.
