In my dreams, spoon and I...

More new design talent from this year's RCA show.

Sarah Hurtigkarl's work 'In my dreams, spoon and I...' invites the observer to enter the fantasy world in which her porcelain and silver spoons appear to have 'grown' from the branches of a tree. It has a soft delicacy and almost poetic beauty that arises from an imaginary dreamscape that turns the everyday function of familiar objects upside down.

"This world becomes the environment where my objects morph, transform and convert the everyday into a fantasy" she says. "I imagine my objects desiring to become alive and mutate into other forms with other functions."
