New tableware from Reiko Kaneko

British-Japanese designer Reiko Kaneko has added some new pieces to her expanding range of tableware.

The Stepped Rice Bowl is a functional and aesthetically pleasing piece, its simple form highlighting the quality of the fine bone china.

The Crack of Thunder Mugs join an existing range of plates and bowls that draw from Kintsugi, the Japanese tradition of glueing broken china back together to accentuate flaws rather than to hide them.

Making unwanted marks and imperfections desirable is a recurrent theme in Reiko's work and the Drippy Egg Cup, the latest addition to her Drip Tease range, offers a fun twist on unwanted drip marks. It's available in gold or platinum with one drip or two.
