Copper Blush

Earlier this year my home was featured by MADE as part of their Unboxed project so I was already familiar with their furniture, rugs and lighting, but over the past few months I've been watching with interest as they've expanded their home accessories range to additionally include a number smaller items.

The collection now also encompasses clocks, mirrors, vases, cushions and bed and bath linens as well as a number of other decorative accessories - and it's all very covetable.

A few copper pieces in particular caught my eye. The metallics trend has been around for a little while now but it still feels very current, especially in the winter months when it's always nice to add a a few shiny accents to the home to help create a warm, inviting mood as you step in from the cold.

I love how well copper works with the soft blush or nude tones that are so popular right now. Lots of people are talking up this colour as the 'new neutral', as it works wonderfully with black and white or greys. I'm a huge fan of monochrome colour palettes, but the restraint of this type of colour scheme can sometimes feel a little harsh, so incorporating nude or blush tones is an instant way to add softness and warmth.

Happy home styling!
