In my bag
This week as part of my guest edit for The White Company I've picked out some of my favourite things from their current summer collection over on their blog. One of the items I chose was this grey leather tote, so I thought it would be fun to do a quick 'in my bag' post to show you what I'm currently carrying around with me in mine.
I've dusted these off after the winter and happily there's been plenty of opportunity to wear them over the past few days. They are by Miu Miu and I've had them forever. I've never particulary beat myself up over buying expensive eyewear, but on a cost-per-wear basis these have justified themselves ten times over.
My favourite Estee Lauder lipstick comes in a glamorously old-school goldtone case. It reminds me of the kind of lipstick I would have found on my grandmother's dressing table when I was playing dressing up as a little girl.
I spent the weekend catching up on a few of my favourite magazines. With Vivienne Westwood as the latest cover girl I couldn't resist picking up a copy of the current issue of The Gentlewoman. It includes a beautiful photographic study in celebration of the humble pocket (which you can vew a taster of here).
I'm tentatively trying to introduce a few pastels into my (mainly monochrome) wardrobe. I love how this pink star print scarf adds a soft dose of colour against the frost grey leather bag. This is about as girly as it gets with me.
Moleskine notebook & pencil
I might spend a lot of time admiring other notebooks and pretty stationery but I somehow I always end up reverting back to the good old moleskine. I carry a pocket sized version around with me and keep a larger one next to my bed.
iPhone & wallet
I was a late adopter when it came to buying an iPhone but now I can't imagine how I ever managed without it. I still haven't got round to getting a case, which is just asking for trouble really isn't it?
Because I never go anywhere without these.
