Design Hunter Tastemaker Sale at Casafina
A little while ago I was approached by the members only homeware boutique Casafina and invited to curate a tastemaker sale for them. Using some of my own furniture, rugs, lighting and decorative objects as a starting point I worked with the Casafina team to help them put together a sale designed to reflect the look, feel and colour palette of my own home.
The sale has just launched and will run for the next few weeks, so I wanted to share a small taster of it here on Design Hunter.
The pieces in the sale have all been chosen with my love of simple, understated enduring style in mind. As regular readers will know I tend to prefer clean lines, strong shapes, natural materials and interesting textures over lots of colour and pattern, so there are lots of blacks, whites, greys and neutrals.
Our home definitely doesn’t have an ‘off the shelf’ look that’s confined to one style – there are elements of Scandinavian, mid-century and modern rustic style, but these are combined with eclectic pieces we’ve collected and objects that evoke happy memories of places we’ve visited.
This Benni rug is one of my favourite items in the sale. The perfect counterbalance to either clean lined contemporary designs or classic mid-century pieces, it would also work equally well used to pull together a more eclectic bohemian look.
If you'd like to discover more of the pieces I picked out as my favourites you can join Casafina and view the Design Hunter tastemaker sale here. (Casafina is a members only site so you'll need to sign up before you can shop the sale.) There's also an interview with me about my home and my blogging journey over on their blog MiCasa, along with my thoughts on some of the key interiors trends we've seen so far in 2015.
