A new creative home for Design Hunter
I have some exciting news to share with you today. I'm thrilled to announce that I recently signed the lease on a studio space - a new creative home for Design Hunter. For some time now I've been wanting a dedicated space for the increasing number of styling and photography projects I work on. Well it's finally happening - so here's a little sneak peek.
There'll be a full reveal after we've finished renovating and decorating the space, but I'm so excited to be moving in that I wanted to share a couple of 'before' shots with you. I'll be setting up studio in an old stable block on a working farm near our home in Warwickshire. The light is really great, even at this dull, grey time of year and the space has loads of original features and character. How amazing are those aged pale oak beams? I've been working on a moodboard and picking out flooring samples and have chosen a really gorgeous white ash wooden floor from Quick-Step that I think is going to look really stunning. The finished space will have an all white minimal look that I can use as a backdrop for styling projects.
I'll be sharing more about my plans for the studio in the new year but one of the things I am most looking forward to is working more closely with Graham. As well as regularly contributing posts to Design Hunter, Graham has always been an incredible support to me behind the scenes, and in the coming months he'll be taking on an increasingly active role in working alongside me in the new studio as well as continuing to work on his own design projects. As some of you already know he has been busy 'secretly' designing and developing a new folding bicycle for the past couple of years and we are very excited to announce that it will be launching next Spring.
So there's lots happening around here. Follow us over on Instagram for the latest updates on the renovation and other behind the scenes stuff.
