Show and Tell | July
As we ease into August here's a look back at July and a quick bite sized round up of some of the things I've been doing, enjoying and reading over the past few weeks.
I've been enjoying some new pieces from the COS x HAY collection including this faceted espresso cup*for my morning coffee. I've also fallen head over heels for the new Coco and Sandalwood candle* from Molton Brown. It includes warm, intoxicating top notes of coconut and cinnamon and was inspired by an idyllic balmy tropical beach - perfect for evoking memories of your summer holiday long after you've returned. I love testing out home fragrances and have been sent quite a few recently so I'm going to do another round up of my favourites soon. This one will definitely be making it into my top 5. I'm also more than a little in love with the minimal white packaging.
In my wardrobe
This oversized camo shirt is the latest addition to my wardrobe. It's described as a shacket (yes apparently that's a thing now) as it's a little heavier than a shirt and lighter than a jacket, so it should see me through summer evenings and into autumn. Plus all those pockets make me very happy.
Out and About
While we were in London reviewing the new citizenM Tower of London hotel recently Graham and I popped along to the Tate Modern to check out the newly opened Switch House extension. Designed by Herzog and de Meuron, who also designed the original Tate Modern, it's a stunning piece of architecture on so many levels. We loved the Tanks on Level 0, where there's also an exhibition of designs by Jasper Morrison who selected the furniture for the new building. The Louise Bourgeois room was another highlight for me and the views from the rooftop terrace are unmissable.
Mary's written a great post about it here.
On my bedside table
Will Taylor's second book Dream Decor has been providing lots of lovely interiors inspiration on my bedside table. Will was one of the first interiors bloggers I ever met - we were both featured in the same article in The Sunday Times back in the early days of interiors blogging- and I have a heap of admiration for the (very well deserved) success he's gone on to achieve since then.
His colourful upbeat Instagram feed buzzes with the latest exciting destinations he's travelled to, so it's no surprise that in his second book Dream Decor Will looks at homes across the globe and shows how to style a cool, creative and comfortable home wherever you live. The book starts with some key decorating elements that are central to almost every interior design scheme and then moves on to eleven unique decor styles to inspire - from Cool Country to Scandi Comfort and Coastal retreat.
Finally, I just wanted to mention a couple of guest posts I've written elsewhere recently. Over on the Homestyle PR blog I wrote about 5 Kitchen Design Trends for 2016 and at Saneux I was invited to share some of my bathroom must haves.

So that's my round up for July. If you're heading off on a summer break this month have a great holiday.
