The Antalis Interior Design Award
Awards season is upon us. I know that many readers of this blog are involved in the interior design industry and related fields so I'm excited to be partnering with Antalis to tell you about an international interior design competition they've just launched - the Antalis Interior Design Award.
The goal of the competition is to celebrate interior design and creativity through the lens of printed materials, and with a generous prize fund of €3,500 for the winner and €2,500 for the runner up as well as dedicated media coverage in Wallpaper and Intramuros magazines, it will provide a valuable opportunity for the winning designers to receive international recognition for their work.
I've shared further information below, along with details of how to enter.
As a leading distributor of paper, packaging solutions and visual communication products, Antalis has launched the award to enhance its role as a partner for interior designers. If you aren't already familiar with their interior décor products you can view the full range here. It includes paper, wallpaper, self-adhesive vinyl, architectural film, foam boards and banners for creative interior display as well as printable textiles suitable for fine art and portrait reproductions.
Open for entries until 31 December 2017 the contest will offer interior designers, printers, brand owners and student designers the opportunity to shine a light on their products and creativity. There are nine awards in total. The winners, to be determined by a professional jury as well as one open to the popular vote, will be announced in January.
An award will be offered for current or completed projects in each of the following categories:
- Public Spaces
Two further awards will recognise projects designed using 3D blank models. The winners of these awards will receive a first prize of €3,500 and a second prize of €2,500 as well as the opportunity to bring their ideas to life by designing a space in the Antalis group headquarters or one of its subsidiaries.
Additionally, a special public prize will be awarded to the project with the most online likes.
The winners will receive a dedicated article in two of the industry's flagship magazines - Wallpaper and Intramuros. They'll also receive media exposure via the Antalis website and social channels.
After the competition Antalis will publish an interior design book showcasing the best designs and including a portrait of each of the winners. This will be presented to those at the centre of the design world inlcuding specialist media, museums, architectural firms, design agencies and hotels.
