Wool and the Gang | The Design Hunter Edit
I love to knit and I love Wool and the Gang so I'm thrilled to be be featured as their Blogger of the Month this month. Alongside their hats, scarves and sweaters, which have always been great, they've introduced some really nice homeware pieces to their collection recently - from wall hangings to cushions, throws and even plant pot holders. I knitted up one of their Recurring Dream cushions a little while ago and am now eyeing up the Koselig blanket in the same textured herringbone stitch. It's a really fun stitch to knit and if you're a novice knitter or have never tried herringbone stitch before there's a how to guide and video here. To coincide with the Blogger of the Month feature (which you can read here) I've put together an edit of a few of my favourite pieces. If you fancy picking up your needles and having a go at one of them you'll find a special Wool and the Gang discount code at the bottom of this post.
Although I often sit down to knit or crochet during the long, dark winter evenings it's not always something I think of doing in the warmer months. I'm tempted to give my summer holiday wardrobe a quick update with these cheerful Ipanema espadrilles though. Don't they look fun?
Since I treated myself to an Olympus PEN last year I've been on the hunt for a new camera bag and I think I may have found it in this Snap Shot bag kit. It comes with a leather strap in a choice of three colours - red, black or brown - plus all the screws you'll need to attach it to the bag, and will fit an Olympus PEN or similar sized camera plus a spare lens which you can store safely in the separate internal compartment.
I'm also looking out for some new plant pots at the moment and may have to join in with the macrame revival by having a go at one of these Jungle Love plant hangers. Designed by Emily Katz of Modern Macrame they are made in jersey yarn from t-shirt fabric offcuts.
Finally, I really like the classic ribbed design of this black mohair jumper. Yes, we may be heading towards summer but I'm not quite ready to put my warmer knits away just yet... and you can never have too many black sweaters.
