A Glamorous 1920s Apartment Transformation in Milan
Located in a 1920s mansion in the heart of Milan, this glamorous apartment has undergone a transformation that marries its historical past with a refined modern look.
Led by designer Silvia Gallotti, the thoughtful renovation seamlessly blends original architectural details with contemporary custom furnishings to create a sophisticated and inviting home.
Casa Mia a Milano honours the building’s historical spirit by preserving original parquet floors, decorative mouldings and fine framed interior doors. Building on this foundation, the Gallotti & Radice team added special signature touches, partnering with local design atelier Dainelli Studio to produce custom wood cabinetry, brass accents, and a showstopping black ash entry unit.
The unique blend of old and new gives Casa Mia a sophisticated, glamorous sensibility from the moment you step inside. The central corridor leading towards the living room is conceived as an elegant art gallery and features a striking brass backdrop.
Dominated by a large Bolle chandelier, the lounge achieves cosy splendour through curvaceous sofas and a statement wood-framed bookcase. Nearby, the dining room features an interactive LG display, allowing the space to convert from lavish entertaining to high-tech conference room at a moment’s notice.
The kitchen provides another design highlight with its polished bronzed cabinetry, and top-of-the-line Signature Kitchen Suite appliances.
By honouring history while incorporating contemporary comforts, Gallotti & Radice have transformed this 1920s gem into a fashionable Milanese home. From the artful layout to the customised furnishings integrating metals, woods, marbles and more, Casa Mia a Milano demonstrates the brand’s talent for weaving diverse materials and eras into singular interiors harmony.
