Test driving the Polestar 2

(Disclosure – I worked with Polestar on a social media campaign based on my experience of test driving the Polestar 2 recently. I wasn’t asked to write a blog post as part of the work I did with them but I loved the car so much that I wanted to share it here too).

A few weeks ago I was invited to test drive the new Polestar 2. The first deliveries of this beautifully designed car only arrived in the UK in August, and it’s fair to say I was pretty excited to have the opportunity to try one out.

Following on from the Polestar 1- an electric hybrid performance car – the Polestar 2 is the brand’s first all-electric car, delivering 292 miles on a single charge. And what an impressive car it is – minimalist Scandinavian design and styling, vegan interiors, cutting edge technology and incredible comfort and performance. 

It was my first time behind the wheel of an electric vehicle and it was a complete revelation. I LOVED it! The feeling you get when you put your foot down and it just takes off is amazing!

Everything about the Polestar 2 feels purposeful, considered and intuitive, and it’s the first car in the world with Google built in HMI so you can set your route or select your favourite music with a simple “Hey google…” command. 

It was also really interesting to learn about Polestar’s ambitious sustainability targets and the company’s commitment to lead the way in addressing environmental concerns within the industry so that electric vehicles can play a role in creating a healthier future for us all.  Spending the afternoon driving around the Northamptonshire countryside in this beautiful car was a joy – owning one is now the dream.
