Nina Holst’s beautiful home in Heart Home magazine
The Spring issue of Heart Home magazine comes out today and I’m delighted to be able to share a sneak preview of one of the features with you – the beautiful home of Nina Holst.
Nina, who is the author of the Stylizimo blog and founder of the home decoration community Stylizimo.com, lives in this 1960s townhouse in Drammen, just south of Oslo. If you haven’t already discovered her blog then you are in for a treat and will probably want to add it to your blogroll immediately. It’s full of beautiful little vignettes from her home that make you want to throw out everything you own that isn’t black and white… or at least that’s the effect it has on me! There are just so many great decorating and styling ideas here that I am tempted to borrow for my own home.
Daniel Nelson, Heart Home’s Art Editor agrees and selects Nina’ home as his favourite feature in the new issue of Heart Home. “It’s right up my street,” he says “although I know I’d struggle not to throw some colour in there somehow.”
Nina describes her office as her favourite room in the house and looking at what an orderly and inspiring place it is I can understand why. It makes me realise that, when it comes to my own office, I really need to up my game. Whilst mine is also monochrome (white floorboards, black desk) and has the potential to be a really great space, at the moment it is just way too full of stuff. I need to schedule in a weekend to tackle it and get everything in order and then maybe, just maybe, I will share a glimpse here on Design Hunter.

I love the living space and the leather pouffe and cushion add a glamorous hint of colour & warmth. And I spy my favourite Eames House bird. A beautiful home!
